The national network of local lone parent self-help groups represents the diversity of interests of lone parents (particularly those living in/or at risk of living in poverty) and promotes their inclusion and progression within wider society. It was formed in 1994
OPEN has two key objectives:
- To assist member groups to strengthen their capacity to provide information, services and supports for lone parents (especially those who are isolated) living in their communities.
- To campaign for policy change that recognises family diversity, supports access to appropriate public services, economic independence and improves the quality of life for lone parents and their children.

The law centre provides advice and in some cases court representation in the following:
Family Law (representation in emergency cases only),Social Welfare (appeal /advice representation), Health, Education & Disability, Employment & Equality, Refugee & Asylum and Housing.
The Law centre’s service are free to people living in the catchment area who are not able to afford the services of a private solicitor. The centre’s catchment area covers electoral area’s of Dublin North Central and Dublin North East.

The Media Co-op is a community media project, which offers local people and community group’s access to information and communications technologies.
